Y-3 Spring/Summer 2019

As techwear continues to rise in the general popularity of more fashion circles, Y-3’s spring/summer 2019 runway collection exemplifies what it can mean to mix simplistic sensibilities with a new and budding concept. The show hovered around a darker color spectrum, yet I particularly liked whenever a streak of color was thrown in such as maroon to help offset some of the darker tones. I do believe a man could fit most of these outfits into his personal wardrobe, but perhaps these concepts might only appeal to a younger generation. As techwear continues to progress it may find a spot for an older crowd, but the movement represents youth and counterculture far too much to cave in just yet.
