Undercover Spring/Summer 2019

Encapsulating a love and appreciation for various co-existing subcultures under the umbrella of fashion itself, Undercover’s spring/summer 2019 runway show felt almost territorial by design. Different groups resembling an assortment of styles such as gothic or the 1970’s worked in conjunction to give off an impression of a time possibly lost to the past, and the fashion movements that came with. I particularly loved the use of accessories such as bags and hats to add a bit more personal flair to each of the groups represented. Some of these pieces could fit into a man’s wardrobe, but I think this show is best appreciated from a distance for the different cultures it is trying to do right by.
