Prada Spring/Summer 2019

A fantastic balance of practicality and artistic expression, Prada’s spring/summer 2019 runway show understands when to tip the scale towards making a statement, and pulling back just enough to still be accessible. I particularly enjoyed whenever the runway show presented a classic idea that the general audience is accustomed to, such as a sweater underneath a jacket, but Prada’s own influence is left upon the garment through tiny corrections like playful colors of outlandish accessories. It almost feels as though the consumer is intentionally reeled into something familiar before being introducing to new ground. There exist quite a few pieces within this collection that any man could fit well within his closet, and the little bits of experimentation that Prada peppers into the garments would add for a great sense of individualism.
