Neil Barrett Spring/Summer 2019

The epitome of playing it safe gone right, Neil Barrett’s spring/summer 2019 runway show doesn’t necessarily break any new ground, but it firmly understands the ins and outs of the concepts it has successfully implemented. The vast majority of the show often centers around an earthy, light brown color scheme that caters well to the casual style of the garments. I particularly enjoyed the all beige jumpsuit, as I found the simplicity very attractive and the odds of these garments fitting into a man’s wardrobe often escalated as the show went on. Although the wheel hadn’t been re-invented with this show, I admired Barrett’s ability to identify what already works and to have those concepts properly capitalized upon.
