Man On The Move: Plaid Investment

Nicholas Daley Fall/Winter 2021

Plaid trousers are a risky investment. They can either make or break an outfit, much like putting money into a new stock can make or break your bank account. However, unlike the stock market, plaid trousers are comfortable, and they are good for a cold, rainy day at the office. It’s a fine balance, though, if you aren’t careful plaid trousers can end up looking like pajama pants.

Style Advice: To make sure you don’t suffer an accidental casualty loss here is how to make the perfect outfit centered around plaid pants: Combine a buttoned-up chocolate fleece shirt jacket ($69) from Urban Outfitters with a pair of navy and rust plaid classic fit suit separates pant ($110) from Men’s Wearhouse. To add coziness, wear a mossy green flap pocket scarf ($35) from Simon and a burgundy mini fisherman beanie ($12) from ASOS. For shoes, go with navy blue men’s Grandsport knit sneakers ($110) from Famous Footwear.

Must-Have: Have you ever wanted to add a matching wristwatch and NFT to your collection of luxury fashion items? Well, now you can. Two creative agencies – M/M Paris and 2GOOD 2B TRUE! – collaborated with Anicorn Watches to create a collection of luxurious watches consisting of playful, modular typography displayed on a black background with a brown leather watch strap. The collection named “2” consists of three unique watches, a ping pong set, a silk square, a puzzle, two tees, and three exclusive NFTs.

In my opinion, the best watch out of the collection is the 2HAPPY Timepiece ($930). It comes in a bamboo box with two 24-carat gold plated coins, a metal numbered plate, and a special booklet outlining the collection. There are only 100 of this certain watch made worldwide, so make sure you buy it ASAP.
