Man On The Move: What To Wear On The Weekend

Tods spring/summer 2022

After a week filled with meetings and having to wear belted slacks and collared shirts, the weekend is finally upon you. Typically, the weekends are for kicking it with the boys and staying as far away from the office as possible. To dress accordingly for the occasion, you need to dress comfortably, and you need to wear something you’d never imagine wearing to the office.

Style Advice: Using Tod’s spring/summer 2022 collection as a guideline, you’ll want to wear black Pace Breaker lined shorts ($68) from Lululemon, a green vintage soft hoodie ($55) from The Gap, beige airport wool blend socks ($27) from Nordstrom, and Forum low shoes ($95) from Adidas. To accessorize your look, wear a brown baseball cap with logo patch ($95) from Diesel, brown Ray-Ban sunglasses ($178) from Sunglass Hut, and sling a track backpack in colorblock signature canvas ($180) from Coach over your shoulder.

Matching the color of the socks, the hat and the backpack is a great way to give the outfit a purpose and not look like you just threw on random clothes you found in your closet. The colors don’t need to be the exact same, but rather just the same color with varying shades from light to dark brown for each piece.

Must-have: If you’re a fan of drawstring bags, but you also want something luxurious, check out Tod’s backpack in canvas and leather medium-brown ($2,375). The backpack is made from a linen-blend canvas material and includes leather inserts and a leather side and top handle. The shoulder straps are adjustable, so one size basically fits everyone. There is also an internal zipped pocket for you to hold your wallet. The leather inserts on the exterior are stamped with Tod’s monogram. Finally, the bag is drawstring so you can quickly open it when you need something while in line at a store or while standing on the sidewalk. It’s definitely a weekend must-have.
