N°21 Spring/Summer 2019

Instilling a strong sense of confidence, N°21’s spring/summer 2019 runway show felt more like a victory lap than a collection of entirely new garments. It is a difficult feeling to describe, but I felt as though each outfit worn by the models throughout this show created a deep sense of history and firm understanding of the concepts it is attempting to recreate, as each different type of outfit works so well in so many simple ways. From a soft green long sleeve to warm, brown pants, this runway show entirely consists of garments that any man could easily fit into their personal wardrobe. I particularly enjoyed the black long sleeve with white undershirt, as the success of the outfit is entirely dependent upon how exactly it is worn. Overall, I believe N°21’s runway show was a massive success in terms of finding middle ground between artistic expression and actual practicality for the consumer.
