Another fantastic example of how a little simplicity can go a long way, Ermenegildo Zegna’s Spring/Summer 2019 runway show seemingly filled the entire color spectrum while staying consistently practical. Nearly all of the garments modeled during the show can be easily assimilated into any man’s wardrobe. I particularly enjoyed when the collection trusted itself enough to commit to one pattern, such as when an entire suit was covered in brown plaid from top to bottom. It may not sound so pleasant on paper, but the beauty is in Ermenegildo Zegna’s confidence to be able to pull off something so traditional. Even accessories meshed themselves together well with outfits, resulting in looks that are seamless and lovely through their use of men’s bags and folders. I could see any man finding rare gold within this collection, and it should most certainly be on the top of anyone’s spring/summer purchase priority list.
