The Montague Paratrooper Pro Folding Bike

I was on a bus going to the city last week when suddenly, a guy walks on and all of the passengers start staring at him in disapproval. I joined in on the staring committee as the entire bus watched him lug his large bike down the aisle, trying to avoid knocking someone unconscious. A chorus of sorry’s and excuse me’s from the young rider did not quite satisfy the people on the aisle seats trying to enjoy their morning commute. No one wants to be obnoxious bike man. Have you ever wanted to take your bike with you on an exciting getaway, but the clunky piece of metal occupied too much room? The new Montague Paratrooper Pro is a folding bike with a custom drawn 7005 Series Aluminum frame.

The matte black ride is not only pleasing to the eye, but it is meticulously built with The Folding Integrated Technology (F.I.T.), designed for full suspension downhill bikes. It is the ideal bike for tough terrain so next time you go camping in a rocky area, you don’t have to worry about your bike being torn up. The rack stand is one of the most versatile features, working as a luggage carrier, mudguard, kickstand, and work stand. The bike has a starting price of $995, but it will last for years. It comes with two different frames in terms of sizing. The 18 inch frame is built for riders 5’3-5’10 and the 20 inch frame is ideal for riders 5’11-6’4. The bike is relatively light at 31 pounds and can hold up to 250 pounds. Powerful disc brakes and durable tires ensure a smooth ride for riders on tough grounds. The 8 speed cassette allows users to either set the range for going up a hill or take it a step down for speed. Large rocks and mud are no longer an obstacle and regardless of the weather, the performance is maintained because of the bike's strong construction. This is not a bike that will need maintenance often because it was built with that idea in mind. The mechanical disc brakes and large tires are meant to withhold tough conditions and remain in tact.

There is a large suspension fork on the front wheel, which allows people to soak up bumps on the daily ride, but the speed lock can also allow you to increase speed and avoid those ridges. The triple crank set has 27 gears and it is easy to use with range in gears on the handlebars. It can easily be changed or set at a desired number. You can actually pop the wheel off, which is part of the folding mechanism. There is a large strap to tie the whole thing together securely and within 20 seconds, the bike is able to be held. You are still getting a big frame and a rough bike, but it is able to be more mobile with the folding feature. Instead of putting a rack on your car and lifting the bike, it makes it a lot easier to store and bring with you on future trips. Customers seem to be extremely happy with their bikes and it has even been used by celebrities, including lead singer David Byrne form the band Talking Heads. He auctioned off his Montague folding bike in 2009 to raise money for the London Cycling Campaign. The company is in fact dedicated to these kinds of organizations and has a great reputation of building quality bikes for 29 years. Montague not only makes great bikes for the public, but also creates specialty bikes for the military. They are innovative and exciting, constantly looking for creative designs. It's a bike with an enjoyable ride and versatile features.
